The 3 Minute Lower Body Mobility Test Every Athlete Should Do

By Coach Johnny B (Ms, CFL3, LMT)

This week, I’m continuing my series on assessing your mobility to prevent injuries. Last week, we covered the upper extremities, and this week, we are moving downstream to the hips, knees, ankles, and everything in between. Below you will find three lower body mobility tests that every athlete should do. To drive the point home, I have created a simple chart illustrating how limited ranges of motion can increase the risk of injury and decrease performance in a basic human movement, such as running.

If you read this, you will conduct these tests and identify an issue before it becomes a problem.

If any of these tests are problematic we can help!!! Go HERE to get your mobility fixed.

Here is how poor lower body mobility negatively impacts biomechanics during running.
